In addition to being easy to use, the Kenko
KFM1100 Meter is very versatile. It is perfect
to use in mixed ambient/flash settings, such as
a portrait studio. The Analyze function
determines how much ambient light versus flash
light there is in a particular setting. The
Analyze function allows the photographer to use
just the right amount of flash light to
eliminate shadows caused by ambient lighting.
What's more, the meter can measure ambient
light for a large shutter speed range, from 30
minutes to 1/8000 of a second. Talk about
sensitive! The Kenko KFM1100 Meter can use a
sync-cord to trigger the flash or can be set to
a non-sync cord so that the flash can be
manually triggered. The meter will display an
aperture range from f/1.0 to f/128. It even has
a cine mode that can read frame rate of 8 to
128 frames per second.
The meter can store two measurements in its
memory, making it even more user-friendly. All
you have to do is press the "M" button to store
the measurement after taking a reading. The
meter will delete the older reading if you have
two stored already and want to save another
one.
The Kenko KFM1100 is a great light meter. The
combination of its ease of use, versatility,
and reliability make it a great meter to
own.
